Step 2 – Register*
*In order to purchase a Football Aid position, you will need to Register on the website. Once you’ve registered and agreed to our terms and conditions, you’ll be able to participate in our position auction and, subject to terms and conditions, take part in our events.
Registering is easy and even better it’s free!
Simply visit the Register Now page and complete the simple online form. You can choose your Username (this will be displayed on the website if you bid for a position) and Password. You’ll need to remember both when you next Login, so remember to pick something memorable! Once you've completed the form, you’ll be sent a confirmation e-mail which you’ll need to click on to confirm your registration.
You must provide a valid e-mail address, as you’ll need to access this to confirm your registration. In addition, once you’ve secured a position, all correspondence regarding your Event will be sent to your registered e-mail address.
Please Note: For reasons of authenticity and to comply with the footballing authorities, Football Aid events are single sex. For a detailed explanation of this policy, please visit our FAQs page.
Step 3 - Buying Your Position
Securing your position on your Field of Dreams could not be easier.
BUY NOW: Selected positions are made available to buy instantly at a fixed price.
SPONSORED TO PLAY: Pay a non-refundable deposit to secure your position and receive a Sponsorship Pack full of ideas to help you fundraise your way to your Field of Dreams. Note: there is no obligation for players to raise money through sponsorship in this scheme; if you prefer you can simply make the instalment payment(s) yourself.
BIDDING: Every year from January - March, remaining positions are made available in our online auction. A selection of these bidding positions may also have a Buy Now option.
For full details on any of these options, please visit our Buying Guide
Step 4 - Paying For Your Position
You can pay for positions secured through our Buy Now, Sponsored To Play and Bidding schemes online. We work with the market-leading online payment provider, WorldPay to ensure your transaction will be carried out over a secure payment link.
Please Note: We can only accept online payment from Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard, or Maestro (formerly Switch) cards.
For further information on paying for your position, visit our Buying Guide.
For details of the WorldPay secure payment service used by Football Aid, please visit the www.worldpay.com website.
Step 5 - Prepare for the Game!
Now to the hard part! And don’t worry, we don’t expect you to launch into the type of pre-season training a Premiership manager would be proud of!
The positions in our events are split into 45 and 90 minutes, so we only expect you to be sufficiently fit enough to play and enjoy the time you pay for! And, even if you're more Peter Kay than Yaya Touré, you can download our Basic Training Guide which contains top tips to help improve your game and get you into shape for your big day.
On securing your position, we'll send you a Players Pack (as well as confirmation by e-mail), which covers all aspects of the Football Aid event, ensuring you're fully prepared for the game. For further details on what to expect in the run up to the event – from how to guarantee you have your fans cheering you on from the stands to netting the Captain’s Armband for the match - please visit our Prepare for the Game page.
And lastly, we will periodically e-mail our players with information regarding their match, however we advise you to visit your team page regularly for the latest news and developments – this way you’ll be the first to know of any updates; from which ex-pros will be joining you on the day, to details of the confirmed date for your match as well as your guest ticket allocation.
